Beware
As I am watching her
So daintily pick her nose
Thinking how beautiful she is
I know I am in trouble.
At least boys are so obvious
And oblivious
Addicted not at all
But locked into the trick of the fix
I drip, oh so sweetly
I feel pressed up to the seams
A tree asking, praying, begging
For the tap
“Sap”
Permanently erected on my back
A single point
I cannot reach
A sign that says
“Lust
Without trust.”
So you would think
Shy would be my last attempt
But I’m an apology waiting to happen
Only Obvious
So Oblivious.
