The Play

It's a Mystery

Satisfied Twilight

A watercress
Set next to a fresh bread
Cut on a tablecloth
Over a peach wood
Still breathing
On into a
Dreamer's blue
Rocking down to an
End of summer’s
Not quite night
Which beats its wings of
Cautiously violet silhouetted skies
And countless flutters of clouds
Along a line of backyard fences
Lifted and coaxing
An endless wrapped up box of
Passion and
Momentary satisfaction
The world’s
Cat paws turned up,
With the night purring.
